Poppers are volatile alkyl nitrites (e.g. amyl, isoamyl, isobutyl or isopropyl nitrite) whose vapours cause short-term vasodilation when they evaporate; typical effects include a feeling of warmth, a slight drop in blood pressure and short-term muscle relaxation. Originally used at parties and for relaxation during anal sex, poppers are now increasingly common in mainstream society.

Poppers are inhaled through the nose. Only open the bottle briefly and then close it again. When using for the first time, proceed with caution and take breaks.
