What is a prostate massage?
Prostate massage, often referred to as “P-spot” stimulation, aims to massage the prostate – a pressure-sensitive gland around five to seven centimetres inside the anal canal – in a targeted manner. This is usually done using a finger (e.g. with a glove and lubricant), special prostate toys (curved for the optimum angle) or vibrators. The prostate can also be stimulated during anal sex. The prostate is often referred to as the male “G-spot”. Its stimulation can trigger incredibly deep, intense feelings of pleasure and even enable orgasms beyond the classic ejaculation.
Tips for the optimal prostate massage
- Angle & pressure: The prostate lies in the direction of the navel – press lightly upwards and forwards. Small circular movements or gentle tapping provide variety.
- Breathing: Deep, calm breathing helps to relax the muscles.
- Combination: Prostate stimulation together with penetration from the front, a vibrator or light perineum pressure (between the testicles and anus) enhances the experience.
- Vary the tempo: Alternate between gentle holding pressure and rhythmic movement to time climaxes.
