What is a twink?
In the gay community, a twink is usually a young, slim guy with little to no body hair. They are often characterized by smooth skin, a petite stature and a playful appearance. The term originally comes from English and is now an integral part of the queer scene.
Features of a twink
- Age: Often between 18 and early 20s.
- Build: Slender, sometimes almost androgynous features.
- Style: Tight-fitting clothes, colorful prints or chic-casual streetwear.
- Vibe: Young, energetic and sometimes a little naive and playful.
Why “Twink”?
The term alludes to the English “sweet” and “twinkle” – in other words, youthful freshness and a certain sparkle. In clubs and bars, twinks are often the eye-catchers on the dance floor and very popular in the dating game.
