What does Chastity mean?
In the fetish and BDSM scene, chastity refers to the controlled restraint of sexual arousal with the help of special devices – so-called chastity devices such as penis cages or chastity belts. The aim is to give the “owner” (keyholder) power over the sexual performer: Only he decides when the “prisoner” is allowed to go free. This practice is part of “orgasm denial”.
Devices & variants
- Male chastity cage: A ring-shaped framework that wraps around the penis and testicles and prevents any erection.
- Chastity belt (female chastity belt): Closes off the genital area, often with a lock mechanism, making vaginal or clitoral contact impossible.
- Soft Chastity: More flexible silicone or leather constructions for beginners that do not need to be worn 24/7.
Why Chastity is so appealing
- Change of power: The keyholder takes full control – this creates tension and promotes trust.
- Increased arousal: Due to the long withdrawal, the first moment of “freedom” is often experienced as extremely intense.
- Psychological game: Withdrawal and rewards in the form of erotic attention can be addictive.
